SONY XPERIA M2 full review, specification, releasing date and price in india

It is mid budget smartphone from smartphone company Sony called SONY XPERIA M2.It has very good slick looking design. Its body design is quite similar to Xperia flagship smartphone called Xperia Z2.It is also 4G enabled so that you can enjoy 4G services. It is a dual sim smartphone with dual standby mode.let's check it out that is this a good mid range option or not.

AVALAIBILITY AND PRICE:-

It was launched on February 2014 and available in market with a price tag of 19000INR.

SCREEN AND DESIGN:-

SONY XPERIA M2 is a large 4.8 inches TFT capacitive multitouch upto 4 fingers touchscreen smartphone having Corning gorilla 3 scratch resistant glass on top for protection, and having 540*960 pixels screen size. There is 229 ppi pixel density screen. Its screen is not so bad but nice. Its screen brightness is also nice with 229 ppi pixel density but still it is less than some mid budget smartphones like Motorola moto G.It's touchscreen is very smooth and responsive. It is a big smartphone but it is very slim and slick along with 8.6 mm thick body and it weighs 148 grams which is little bit bulky. Its edges are quite curvacious and round so that its body is not so slippery and you can easily hold this in your hand. Its body is made up of plastic. Its sides are black plastic and top is consist of a thin layer of transparent plastic. So overall its build up quality is impressive with slick body design.

OS:-

SONY XPERIA M2 works on ANDROID 4.3 Jellybean OS with Sony UI which is older Android version but it is planned upgrade to ANDROID 4.4.2 Kitkat OS.It's UI is quite good and user friendly like other Xperia smartphones.

MEMORY:-

It comes with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable upto 32GB via micro SD card, but you will get only 5GB of user available space.

RAM AND PROCESSOR:-

SONY XPERIA M2 comes with 1.2 ghz quad core Cortex A7 CPU with Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400(D2305,D2303,D2306) chipset and 1GB ram. There is also a Adreno 305 GPU for gaming. Its performance is good but you can still notice some lag which is negligible. Its performance in benchmark tests are also nice but quite similar to other budget smartphones like Moto G.Its configuration is looking huge but performance is little bit low. It's gaming performance is nice too and it can run HD games like Dead trigger 2 and Real racing 3 without any lag but sometimes frame rate decreases.
So overall its performance is nice but not according to our expectations in this price range.

CAMERA:-

It comes with 8MP autofocus back camera which is capable of record full HD 1080p videos @ 30fps.There is also a LED flashlight for low light conditions and a VGA front camera for video calling. Its camera quality is nice and by using HDR mode you can get some fair pics. Its focusing is average and picture quality is nice but not according to a 8MP camera and after zooming pics the picture clarity decreases rapidly.Clicked pics are quite sharp and details are also fine.In low light conditions its camera clarity is not so bad after starts LED flash light. Its camera app is very good and comes with so many fun features so that you can enjoy photography.Other camera features are Geo-tagging,touch focus, face and smile detection,HDR,panorama, image stabilization, red eye reduction etc.

BATTERY AND FEATURES:-

It comes with non removable li-io 2300 mah battery which gives 13 hrs 25 minutes talktime that gives more than 1 day backup on heavy uses which is very good.Other features are SNS integration, predictive text input, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic,DLNA,dual band for good network coverage and network connection in different countries.

CONCLUSION:-

It is a mid range smartphone with large screen, slick body design and good battery life but its performance and camera performance is not up to mark along with low resolution and I think you should look for other options in this price range.

GADnDOWN:-

Down.
